About
Extra To Love

Established in 2021, Extra To Love originated as Springer Family Foundation, a 501(C)3 created by Hayden and Emma Springer. They wanted to support families walking through prenatal and early infancy stages of a trisomy diagnosis and provide financial assistance to those needing to travel for fair care, as they had to with their daughter, Sage.

After one year of operating as Springer Family Foundation, a gap was identified. As Sage grew older, they noticed a growing amount of support for families navigating prenatal and early infancy stages of a trisomy journey, and very little support for families of people living with Trisomy 13 and 18. Thus, SFF sought to redefine their mission and together with other families impacted by trisomy, Extra To Love was born.

Extra To Love seeks to encourage, support and celebrate families of people with Edwards and Patau Syndromes through financial support for costs associated with raising an individual with Trisomy 13 & 18, spiritual encouragement, provision of resources, educational content, community through Extra To Love: A Trisomy Podcast and more.

On November 13, 2023, Sage Elyse Springer, was eternally healed and went to be with her Creator in Heaven.  Through their heartbreak, it has become even more important to support the trisomy community as a means of carrying on Sage's legacy. Therefore, in 2024, Diagnosis Support Boxes and Bereavement Boxes are new initiatives.

ETL has always been inspired by the Springers' journey with Sage. They want to see every family be empowered and equipped to be confident advocates and caretakers starting in pregnancy and carrying on throughout the rest of their journey. Joy and hope are at the heart of Extra To Love because we believe every person is intentionally designed from conception by God with a unique purpose. We want every person with Trisomy 13 & 18 to be empowered to not just survive, but THRIVE!
